These videos were competition entries created by guests at Melfort Village during the summer of 2009. The competition was to create and publish a video to Youtube, with the winner receiving a week’s holiday at Melfort Village. We think you will agree that each video is a credit to its creators and provides an excellent “holidaymakers” view on the wonder of Melfort Village.
This is a tour of Melfort Village and Loch Melfort in Argyllshire, Scotland.
Melfort Village is one of the most peaceful places I know. It is at the end of a one-lane road, under the Drium Barr na Collie, where the River Oude flows into Fearnach Bay and Loch Melfort. The village was rebuilt from the buildings used 150 years ago to manufacture gunpowder. Natural stone and whitewashed cottages surround the green where horses ride and dogs and children play. Sheep and cattle from the local farms wander the fields and hills and boats swing at anchor in Loch Melfort.
Awesome.
If you ever want to escape the rat race for a few days (or weeks !), this is the place to go. We've been going there for 10 years now and never tire of it.
Melfort Village - A relaxing and beautiful place for a holiday...
Melfort Village is located in Argyllshire, Northwest Scotland. It is the most tranquil and beautiful place to spend quality time with your friends and family whilst enjoying the stunning scenery and recreational activities.
Melfort Village is the perfect place to come if you want to get away from it all for just a couple of days or maybe a couple of weeks. This is a very peaceful and quite place and perfect for a break. It was slightly wet when I was there but it didn't dampen our spirits we still tried alot of the walks and really enjoyed our time there. Hope you do too....
The background music to the slide-show presentation is by Summit Jazzy with the fabulous Mike Daly on trumpet, John Hennery on bass, and Peter Salmond on banjo - playing Sweet Sue and All Of Me.
