Chapter 2: New Friends

The next morning, Bramble Bear put on his walking boots and went exploring. By the river, he saw two animals playing pooh sticks on the bridge.

“Hello!” Bramble waved. “I’m Bramble the Bear!”

“I’m Bonnie the Badger,” said one. “And I’m Fergus the Fox,” said the other. “Are you here on holiday?”

“I sure am!” Bramble Bear beamed.

Bonnie and Fergus invited Melfort to join their game. They dropped sticks into the river and watched them float under the bridge. Bramble's stick zoomed out first!

“You win!” shouted Fergus. “You’re a natural!”

After a morning of fun, Bonnie had an idea. “Tomorrow, let’s have a picnic by the river!”

Bramble's tummy rumbled in agreement.
