Chapter 3: Picnic by the River

The next day, Bramble Bear packed honey sandwiches, Bonnie brought blueberry scones, and Fergus brought a basket full of juicy strawberries.

They laid out a big red blanket beside the river. The sun shone, the birds sang, and the water sparkled.

They munched and laughed and played a game of “Guess That Cloud.”

“That one looks like a haggis!” Fergus said.

“I think it looks like a Highland cow!” giggled Bonnie.

After lunch, they dipped their paws and tails in the river. Bramble Bear sighed happily. “This is the best day ever.”

But the fun wasn’t over yet...
