At Melfort Village, being part of the Argyll community means more than simply welcoming guests. It means supporting the people, organisations and causes that make this area such a special place to live and visit.
Throughout the year, our Members, guests and team come together to raise funds, donate prizes and support a number of local and national charities close to our hearts.
Scottish Air Ambulance Service
One of the key charities we proudly support is the Scottish Air Ambulance Service.
Operating critical care air ambulance services across Scotland, this life-saving charity provides rapid response medical care to some of the country’s most remote and rural areas — including Argyll. Their work ensures that people experiencing serious medical emergencies can access hospital care quickly, when every second counts.
Given our rural West Coast location, we recognise just how vital this service is to local residents and visitors alike. Supporting them is our way of helping safeguard the wider community.
CHAS – Children’s Hospices Across Scotland
We are also honoured to support CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland).
CHAS provides unwavering care and support to babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, as well as vital support for their families across Scotland. Through hospice services, respite care and bereavement support, CHAS helps families make the most of the precious time they have together.
The compassion and dedication shown by CHAS teams across Scotland is extraordinary, and we are proud to contribute towards their work through fundraising initiatives within the Village.

Providing safe accommodation and compassionate support for individuals facing crisis in the Oban and Lorn area.
Oban’s Hope Kitchen
Offering meals and practical help to those experiencing food insecurity and financial hardship.
