"Collection of self catering cottages and apartments many of which I think were formerly farm buildings which have been upgraded to a good standard. On site there is a range leisure facilities including a restaurant & bar, swimming pool (quite small but temperature ideal) with jacuzzi & sauna, gym, tennis and putting. Overall a very welcoming and comfortable experience. Also very welcoming for our dog as there was a welcome box containing a number of items including a toy (which he loves), biscuits and a bowl."

Our Top Things See & Do in Summer

  • Take a Woodland Walk

    Set off from your cottage and explore the wonderful woodland around the village. Keep a look out for snowdrops, daffodils, primroses and crocuses, or perhaps even early bluebells. Use all your senses to really enjoy the experience: touch the bark, listen our for wild birds, squirrels and rabbits and breathe in the crisp forest air.

  • Hire an E-Bike and go for a Picnic to Ardmaddy Castle

    Hire an e-bike from Reception and set off with a picnic. Take the road past the Pier Houses toward Kilchoan and if you are feeling adventurous you can lock up the bikes and go up over the hill to Ardmaddy Castle on foot and picnic in the grounds.

  • Take the Ferry to Mull

    Head to Oban and hop on the ferry as a foot passenger across to Mull. At Craignure, you can catch a bus to explore the island and its treasures such as Tobermory, Duart Castle, Calgary Beach and so much more.

  • Go Horse Riding

    Book a trek with Lunga Stables and see the area from horseback. They offer hacks for all abilities and you can choose from western riding or traditional riding.

  • Visit the Green Shack in Oban

    Get your seafood fix with a visit to the world-famous Green Shack on Oban Pier where you can feast on a wide selection of the freshest seafood & shellfish.

  • Take a boat trip with Farsain Cruises

    Join one of their scheduled wildlife boat trip from Croabh Haven and explore the waters around Melfort and the west. Look out for minke whales, dolphins and sea birds.

  • Conquer a Castle

    In the area, there are a number of castles to explore including Dunstaffnage castle, Carnasserie castle & Kilchurn castle.

  • Visit Cruachan Power Station

    also known as The Hollow Mountain, this fascinating visitor attraction will show you how energy is harnessed from hydro power generated from their high up reservoir on the top of the mountain using their station inside the mountain itself.

  • Go to a Highland Games Day

    There are a number of Highland Games on throughout the Summer in towns and villages across Argyll. A fun filled day with Highland Dancers, Bagpipes, Tug of War and so much more. See our Summer guide for details.
