Melfort Village comprises of some thirty two individual cottages nestled in the hills and oak woods at the head of Loch Melfort. This Scottish Tourist Board 4 Star award winning village offers extensive leisure facilities within its grounds and together with the wide and diverse choice of activities available locally, there is plenty to occupy you whatever the weather!
Situated just 16 miles south of Oban, the “Gateway to the Isles”, Melfort Village offers the ideal base for touring up and down the West Coast mainland and visiting the islands of Mull & Iona, Islay, Gigha and even further afield to the Outer Hebrides.
Whether you favour walking, outdoor sports, birdwatching, visiting gardens, castles and historical sites or eating out, all activities and attractions can be reached within a short drive from your cottage.
Cottages are available to rent all year round with the exception of the first two weeks in January. The cottages are furnished in comfortable country house style with fully equipped farmhouse kitchens, each with colour TV, DVD & Freeview. Cosy, welcoming beds made up for your arrival and a full complement of large, fluffy towels. Every cottage has its own unique character which makes self catering holidays at Melfort Village the perfect place to relax. Pets very welcome for a small weekly charge!!
